On 30th March 2017, the department of computer application at Christ Academy for Advanced Studies had organized an industrial visit for the students of the Second semester BCA who were accompanied by two of the faculties of the department. The visit was to the TVS Motors at Hosur Main plant.

The visit started in the early hours and students went by the college bus. The group was taken to the training hall as soon as they reached the plant. Then Mr. Shyam took charge and held the group to the plant around noon and briefed them about the plant as well as the number of production lines, different software and hardware technologies and robotics operation
He also answered the queries of the students regarding marketing and manufacturing.

The plant is 40 percent automated and 60 percent manual. Students were amazed at the speed at which the process occurred and how the automated systems could work according to the requirements. The manufacturing process adopted by them is batch process and mass production. The visit concluded by the afternoon. The industrial visit was an enriching experience for students in getting live exposure of different technologies used in manufacturing which can help them in their internships and further career enhancements.
